Explore the boundless possibilities of STEAM with the Weather Balloon Project

In a recent and remarkable STEAM project, our talented cohort of Year 7 and 8 students had the unique opportunity to design and launch their own weather balloon at the Thai Meteorological Department's Weather Radar Station in Chon Buri province. This hands-on experience taught our students how to plan their project, build a navigation system and tool to take magnificent footage of the planet, predict the weather, and design it to be adaptable to a variety of conditions. This immersive experience not only increased their scientific understanding but also sharpened their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, allowing them to participate in group brainstorming and teamwork.

นักเรียน Year 7 และ 8 ของคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพ ได้ทดลองปล่อยบอลลูนตรวจสภาพอากาศที่พวกเขาได้ประดิษฐ์ขึ้นในชั้นเรียนวิชา STEAM ณ สถานีเรดาร์ฝนหลวง กรมอุตุนิยมวิทยา จังหวัดชลบุรี ซึ่งการเดินทางในครั้งนี้เปิดโอกาสให้นักเรียนได้ฝึกวางแผนการทำงาน สร้างระบบนำทาง ประดิษฐ์เครื่องมือในการบันทึกภาพถ่ายทางอากาศเพื่อบันทึกสภาพภูมิอากาศให้สามารถรับมือกับสถานการณ์ต่าง ๆ อีกทั้งยังได้เรียนรู้การทำงานเป็นทีมและการนำความรู้จากวิชาอื่น ๆ มาประยุกต์ใช้เพื่อแก้ปัญหาเฉพาะหน้าอีกด้วย
