World-class facilities

Our children begin in a bespoke early years centre in pre-nursery, nursery and reception year groups. These students have their own facilities in a safe, friendly and stimulating environment, including extensive outdoor areas where they can learn through play.

Outstanding teaching staff

All students are taught by at least one fully qualified international teacher and every class has an assistant teacher who is adept at speaking both Thai and English to help students who are learning English as an additional language. The pre-preparatory classes are also supported by a team of nannies to help ensure that children are cared for throughout the day.

Mandarin

We enable our students to study Mandarin from reception onwards. Mandarin is fun, interesting and incredibly important for the modern world. Studies have also shown that starting to study languages early is incredibly advantageous for children later in their education.

The transition to Key Stage 1

Year 1 and year 2 students move out of the early years centre to join the older students. They benefit from specialist classrooms and teachers, while keeping the structure and support of a class teacher. They also have their own outside play area for lunch and breaktimes.

A curriculum underpinned by our values

Whichever part of the pre-prep they are in, the children will study an exciting and challenging curriculum that develops individual abilities and fosters independence, curiosity and creativity. We also ensure that all students become respectful, tolerant, kind and caring individuals who are sensitive to the needs of others. These values run throughout our school.

Welcome from the Head of Pre-prep

Welcome to our Pre-preparatory Department at King's Bangkok. Working with young children is exciting and challenging. I believe that the early years are the most important years of a child's life; they are when a child's character and skills develop most rapidly.
