Podcast ‘Bottling Joy in the Early Years’

‘Bottling Joy in the Early Years’ is a deep dive into what high-quality early learning looks like at King’s Bangkok Early Years. In this podcast, Dr Aaron Bradbury (Principal Lecturer, Early Childhood Studies, Nottingham Trent University), Dr Sasilak Khayankij and Dr Nathinee Jiarakul (Early Childhood Education Division, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University), Mr Raj Ladva (Head of Early Years at King’s Bangkok) and Ms Alys Leighton-Rahman (Deputy Head of Early Years at King’s Bangkok) discuss some of the key messages contained within its pages.

This book highlights the importance of safety and belonging in Early Childhood, and how parents, teachers and staff work together to provide the very best in pastoral care. In this podcast, we talk about the education sector, both globally and in Thailand, and how the very first steps in early learning are absolutely critical for positive outcomes in later life. We also touch on examples of how this is brought to life here at King’s Bangkok.

With a release date in June 2026, ‘Bottling Joy in the Early Years’ is a celebration of our journey here at King’s Early Years Centre and also a showcase of how children can experience joy, connection, love and safety within any school environment. Most importantly, all the profits from the sale of this book will support The SPRING Project.

Since April 2020, the SPRING Project has been providing preventive protection services and forensic interviewing for children, persons with disabilities, and survivors of human trafficking who have experienced violence, abuse, or exploitation. All services are delivered voluntarily and free of charge to survivors, ensuring access to essential support without financial barriers. We are proud to support this important work.
