Mae Naak Opera at King’s Bangkok

Mae Naak, a haunting love tale composed and directed by Thai National Artist Somtow Sucharitkul, came to life at King’s Bangkok, as Mae Naak returned to the Thai stage after 14 years. In collaboration with Opera Siam, we were honoured to host this acclaimed production. Blending Thailand’s most enduring ghost story with the grandeur of Western opera, the production weaves a hauntingly beautiful tale of love and devotion that transcends life itself. From soaring arias to spine-tingling storytelling, it was an unforgettable evening for our community.

We were especially proud to see our students perform in the children’s chorus alongside professional, world-class artists, a powerful example of artistic collaboration and experiential learning, and a truly memorable celebration of music and culture.
