King’s Bangkok Early Years: Learning through the Natural World
Our Early Years students have been spending time beyond the classroom in our ‘EY Allotment’, getting to know gardening in the only way possible - hands-on! With guidance from Kru Raj, our Head of Early Years, children learn about different plants and tools before rolling up their sleeves to water, loosen soil, plant seedlings, and even hunt for minibeasts.
The space has also become a wonderful sensory learning environment, with children smelling herbs, tasting fresh kale, basil and mint, and exploring the textures of soil and leaves.
Through regular experiences like these, we help nurture patience, responsibility, care for living things, and a meaningful connection to the natural world.
