Artist in Residence 2026: Bangkok Through the Eyes of King’s Bangkok Students with Francesco Lietti

Two inspiring weeks of creativity unfolded at King’s Bangkok as we welcomed ‘Francesco Lietti’ as our 2026 Artist in Residence, a mixed-media collage artist from Hong Kong. Francesco collaborated with our students to create his first Bangkok-inspired artwork and to undertake his first residency with an international school in Thailand. Our students became the storytellers of the city, sharing their knowledge of Bangkok while painting, sketching, drawing, and assembling a vibrant collaborative piece.

Early Years and Primary students alike engaged meaningfully with the residency, creating artworks under the guidance of Francesco, the Primary Art Department, and our Early Years team. The completed artwork will be installed in the school to capture the creativity, learning, and shared experience of this memorable residency.
