Growing Knowledge: Learning with BIG Trees Project

At King’s Bangkok, we are committed to developing global citizens who take responsibility for the world around them—starting with our environment here in Bangkok. Inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our students took action, exploring real-world sustainability challenges and developing meaningful solutions.

Our students conducted a field survey at Benjakitti Park, exploring ways to repurpose disused land for the benefit of both the environment and the local community. Using their findings, they developed and pitched eco-friendly business ideas. To put their plans into action, they presented their proposals at their own sustainability workshop at school with representatives from Benjakitti Park and the BIG Trees Project. They also engaged in hands-on conservation work, including tree health assessments and green space enhancement.

Through this experience, students moved beyond the classroom, learning to take real action and demonstrating their power to drive change. By connecting their knowledge to global sustainability efforts, they deepened their understanding of environmental responsibility and made a meaningful impact in their community.
