Advancing Inclusive Education at King's Bangkok

Last week, King's Bangkok welcomed Ms Lisa Low, a specialist in learning and behaviour with over 30 years of experience in education as a Head Teacher, assessor and specialist in inclusive practice. Her visit further enhanced and expanded our staff’s expertise, helping us stay aligned with the latest educational trends and global best practices while sharing valuable insights with King’s Bangkok parents. Ms Lisa conducted workshops across all school stages, focusing on inclusive practices and supporting students with social, emotional, or learning needs. She collaborated with the ICT, safeguarding, and DEIJ (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice) teams at King’s Bangkok and led a professional development session on adaptive teaching strategies for our teachers.

A key highlight was the parent workshop, "Helping Your Child to Thrive," attended by over 100 parents from the Primary and Senior Schools. Parents are left with a deeper understanding of how to better support their children's academic and emotional development. Ms Lisa’s impact will continue with twilight online sessions in the upcoming terms, further reinforcing inclusive practices within our King's Bangkok community.

เมื่อสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา คิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพได้ต้อนรับ คุณลิซ่า โลว์ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการเรียนรู้และพฤติกรรมที่มีประสบการณ์มากกว่า 30 ปีในการดูแลสนับสนุน Neurodiverse Students หรือนักเรียนที่มีความหลากหลายทางระบบประสาท ได้มาแบ่งปันความรู้ ความเชี่ยวชาญ และแนวทางการปฎิบติกับทีมครู ผู้ปกครอง และบุคคลากรของเรา เพื่อมอบประสบการการณ์การเรียนรู้ที่ดีที่สุดให้กับนักเรียน ซึ่งกิจกรรมเวิร์กชอปครั้งนี้มุ่งเน้นด้านความหลากหลาย ความเสมอภาค การมีส่วนร่วม และความยุติธรรม เพื่อเสริมสร้างและพัฒนาการเรียนการแบบเรียนรวม (Inclusive Education)  พร้อมทั้งสนับสนุบการเรียนรู้ของนักเรียนที่ต้องการความช่วยเหลือในด้านต่าง ๆ นอกจากนี้ คุณลิซ่ายังได้แบ่งปันความรู้เกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาแผนกลยุทธ์การเรียนรู้ที่ปรับให้เหมาะสมกับศักยภาพและความสามารถของผู้เรียนแต่ละบุคคลให้กับบุคคลากรของเรา อีกทั้งยังจัดเวิร์กชอปสำหรับผู้ปกครอง ซึ่งมีผู้ปกครองของนักเรียนทั้งจากระดับชั้น Primary และ Senior School ร่วมงานกว่า 100 คน โดยเวิร์กชอปนี้ช่วยสร้างความเข้าใจเชิงลึกให้ผู้ปกครองในการสนับสนุนและดูแลการพัฒนาของบุตรหลาน ทั้งด้านวิชาการและอารมณ์

ทั้งนี้ กิจกรรมเวิร์กชอปคุณลิซ่าไม่จบเพียงเท่านี้ แต่จะยังคงดำเนินต่อไปในรูปแบบออนไลน์ในเทอมหน้าอีกด้วย คิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพหวังว่ากิจกรรมนี้จะช่วยเสริมสร้างแนวทางการเรียนการสอนแบบเรียนรวมให้ดียิ่งขึ้นสำหรับทุกคนในครอบครัวคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพของเรา
