World Mathematics Championships 2024 Senior Finals: Talent with effort brings you success

After an intense series of qualifying rounds in the 2024 World Mathematics Championships (WMC), our students who earned 'Golden tickets' participated in the Senior Finals at Queen Mary University of London. The competition was hosted at the Mile End and Whitechapel campus along the scenic riverfront of central London. Throughout the week, our students stayed in university halls and had access to the campus facilities. The seven-day event included diverse activities such as debates, lectures, code-breaking sessions, logic puzzles, and cryptography challenges, each demanding intense mathematical rigour. Each day, students met with mentors—esteemed mathematicians from prestigious universities such as the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge —receiving invaluable guidance, inspiration, and insight into their university experience.

The competition concluded with a Gala Celebration. Congratulations to all, especially our students IngIng who won the competition overall, scoring multiple gold medals, and also Thames who got 4th place in the competition. It was a proud moment as our students showcased their exceptional skills, teamwork, and resilience.

หลังจากการคัดเลือกอย่างเข้มข้นในรอบ Qualifier ของการแข่งขันคณิตศาสตร์ชิงแชมป์ระดับโลกประจำปี 2567 (World Mathematics Championship 2024) นักเรียนของเราที่ได้รับรางวัล ‘Gold tickets’ ได้เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันรอบ Finals ณ วิทยาลัยควีนแมรี มหาวิทยาลัยลอนดอน ประเทศอังกฤษ โดยการแข่งขันจัดขึ้นที่วิทยาเขต Mile End และ Whitechapel ซึ่งตั้งอยู่ใจกลางกรุงลอนดอน ตลอดทั้งสัปดาห์ ผู้เข้าร่วมแข่งขันได้ทำกิจกรรม และแข่งขันกันภายในมหาวิทยาลัย ทั้งฟังบรรยาย โต้วาที ถอดรหัส และทายปริศนาเกี่ยวกับคณิตศาสตร์ ซึ่งพวกเขาต้องใช้ทักษะและความรู้ทางคณิตศาสตร์มาประยุกต์ใช้ในการแก้ไขโจทย์ต่าง ๆ นอกจากนี้ ผู้เข้าร่วมยังได้รับโอกาสพิเศษในการพบกับที่ปรึกษาซึ่งเป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญหรือนักคณิตศาสตร์จากมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีชื่อเสียง เช่น มหาวิทยาลัยออกซ์ฟอร์ด และมหาวิทยาลัยเคมบริดจ์ ที่มาคอยให้คำแนะนำ สร้างแรงบันดาลใจ และแบ่งปันข้อมูลเชิงลึกที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อการแข่งขันและการศึกษาในอนาคตของพวกเขา

การแข่งขันสิ้นสุดลงพร้อมกับงานเลี้ยงเฉลิมฉลองและพิธีมอบรางวัล ทั้งนี้ เราขอแสดงความยินดีกับนักเรียนทุกคน โดยเฉพาะน้องอิงอิง และน้องเทมส์ Year 12 ซึ่งได้คะแนนรวมสูงสุดและอันดับที่ 4 ตามลำดับ รวมถึงนักเรียนจาก Years 11-12 อีกหลายคนที่คว้าเหรียญรางวัลในการแข่งขันรอบ Finals นี้มาได้เช่นกัน นับเป็นช่วงเวลาอันน่าภาคภูมิใจและเป็นประสบการณ์ที่มีค่าสำหรับเด็ก ๆ ที่ได้แสดงความสามารถและทักษะในการแข่งขันระดับนานาชาติ
