Our Year 8 students formed 4 teams to participate in the Regional Rounds of the 2024 World Scholar's Cup (WSC). This annual international academic competition brings together over 15,000 students from more than 65 countries, aiming to impart non-traditional lessons not typically taught in schools. The WSC curriculum spans 6subjects; Science & Technology, Literature & Media, Art & Music, Social Studies, History and special topics customised for each year, challenging participants to engage in critical thinking rather than rely on memorisation. They diligently prepared for and enjoyed the learning process, resulting in everyone receiving medals as a testament to their hard work. Remarkably, one team secured 2 trophies.

Their achievements have demonstrated their strong academic excellence, commitment to learning, and embodiment of our school's values and spirit at King's Bangkok.

นักเรียนระดับชั้น Year 8 ของเราได้เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันรอบ Regional Rounds ของ World Scholar's Cup 2024 ซึ่งเป็นการแข่งขันทางด้านวิชาการระดับนานาชาติที่จัดเป็นประจำทุกปี และมีนักเรียนเข้าร่วมมากกว่า 15,000 คน กว่า 65 ประเทศทั่วโลก การแข่งขัน World Scholar's Cup เป็นการแข่งตอบคำถามเกี่ยวกับความรู้รอบตัวที่ครอบคลุมถึง 6 สาขาวิชา ได้แก่ วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี วรรณกรรมและสื่อ ศิลปะและดนตรี สังคมศึกษา ประวัติศาสตร์ และยังมีหัวข้อพิเศษที่ปรับเปลี่ยนไปในแต่ละปี ที่มากกว่าแค่ความรู้ในห้องเรียนหรือการท่องจำจากหนังสือ การแข่งขันนี้ทดสอบทักษะของผู้เข้าแข่งขันในการวิเคราะห์เชิงลึกเพื่อให้ได้มาซึ่งคำตอบ ความมุ่งมั่นตั้งใจของเด็ก ๆ ทุกคน ทำให้พวกเขาคว้ารางวัลกลับมาได้สำเร็จทุกคนและมากไปกว่านั้น หนึ่งในทีมนักเรียนของเรายังคว้ารางวัลใหญ่ถึง 2 รางวัลจากแข่งขันในรอบนี้ด้วย

การแข่งขัน World Scholar's Cup ได้สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความมุ่งมั่นในการเรียนรู้ ความเป็นเลิศทางวิชาการซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่นักเรียนทุกคนที่คิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพยึดถืออีกด้วย
