From “I wonder” to a showcase of independent enquiry based learning at its best: Exploring the fascinating world of migration

At King’s Bangkok, our Year 6 students were delighted to present their migration research in various formats of their choice. They created a variety of projects, including posters, artwork, songs, poems, TED talks, and interactive board games, all aiming to unraveling the overarching question, 'How has migration shaped the world that we live in?'. The showcase was a great success, with parents overjoyed and very proud, as well as their teachers. Students gained valuable experiences and encouragement that will be part of their learning and increase their courage to explore further lessons.

ที่คิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพ นักเรียนระดับชั้น Year 6 ของเรา มีโอกาสได้นำเสนอการค้นคว้าในรูปแบบที่ตนสนใจภายใต้หัวข้อ 'การอพยพย้ายถิ่น' โดยจัดแสดงเป็นผลงานหลากหลายรูปแบบ อาทิ โปสเตอร์ งานศิลปะ บทเพลง บทกวี การพูดแบบเท็ด ไปจนถึงบอร์ดเกม ซึ่งทั้งหมดนี้เป็นผลงานจากการค้นคว้าเพื่อหาคำตอบของคำถาม ‘การอพยพย้ายถิ่นมีอิทธิพลต่อโลกที่เราอาศัยอยู่อย่างไร?’ การจัดแสดงผลงานของเด็ก ๆ ประสบความสำเร็จไปได้ด้วยดี โดยเพื่อน ๆ ร่วมระดับชั้น คุณครู ผู้ปกครองต่างภาคภูมิใจกับการนำเสนอการค้นคว้าของพวกเขา อีกทั้งบรรยากาศเป็นไปอย่างครึกครื้น หลายคนต่างให้ความสนใจและร่วมฟังนักค้นคว้าตัวน้อยนำเสนอผลงาน ซึ่งกำลังใจที่ได้รับในครั้งนี้ นับเป็นประสบการณ์อันมีค่าที่จะช่วยเพิ่มความกล้าในการค้นคว้าบทเรียนอื่น ๆ ของพวกเขาต่อไปในอนาคต
