Welcome the GB National Junior Squad to King’s Bangkok

King's College International School Bangkok welcomed Tamara Gavrilenko, a year 13 student from King's College School, Wimbledon, our sister school, along with Great Britain national coach Aladdin Sadiq. Tamara represents the Great Britain National Junior Squad Team in the Bangkok Coupe du Monde Men's & Women's Foil Junior World Cup fencing competitions. She chooses to use the facilities at King's Bangkok's Sports Hall to warm up and prepare for her competition.

Tamara, on her path in pursuit of Team Great Britain for the Olympics, was warmly welcomed by our teachers, led by Mark Culverhouse, a former teacher from King's Wimbledon. We are delighted that students from King's Wimbledon feel that King's Bangkok is a safe and welcoming place to train, just as they do in Wimbledon. Because, regardless of whether it's King's Bangkok or King's Wimbledon, the King’s College family provides a home to its students.

King's Bangkok would like to root for Tamara to compete in the World Cup and achieve the success she intended for the next tournament in Italy. We are here to support Tamara in the continued pursuit of her dreams, just as we have always supported the dreams of our students.

โรงเรียนนานาชาติคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพ ได้มีโอกาสต้อนรับ Tamara Gavrilenko นักเรียน Year 13 จากโรงเรียนคิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดัน โรงเรียนแม่ของเรา และโค้ชทีมชาติสหราชอาณาจักร Aladdin Sadiq โดย Tamara เป็นตัวแทนเยาวชนทีมชาติสหราชอาณาจักรในการแข่งขันกีฬาฟันดาบรายการ Bangkok Coupe Du Monde Men’s & Women’s Foil Junior World Cup และเลือกมาฝึกซ้อมที่ Sports Hall ของคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพก่อนการแข่งขันดังกล่าว

ทั้งนี้คณะครู นำโดย ครู Mark Culverhouse อดีตครูจากคิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดัน ได้ให้การต้อนรับอย่างอบอุ่นและเข้าชมการฝึกซ้อม จากการพูดคุยกับ Tamara ผู้ซึ่งมุ่งมั่นในการฝึกซ้อมเพื่อเตรียมคัดตัวทีมโอลิมปิกของสหราชอาณาจักร เรามีความประทับใจและดีใจที่ได้ทราบว่านักเรียนจากคิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดันเลือกมาฝึกซ้อมที่คิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพ ก็เพราะว่าที่นี่เป็นที่ที่ปลอดภัยและอบอุ่นเหมาะกับการฝึกซ้อมและทำกิจกรรมเฉกเช่นเดียวกับที่วิมเบิลดัน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพหรือคิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดัน ที่นี่เป็นบ้านของครอบครัวคิงส์คอลเลจเช่นเดียวกัน
