King's Bangkok celebrates the Year of the Tiger

This week, at King's College International School Bangkok, we celebrated Chinese New Year. The week's atmosphere was full of excitement as both children and staff wore vibrant red garments and various accessories to welcome the Lunar New Year. During this important festival, our teachers held activities such as storytelling, traditional song and dance, chopsticks races and crafts in which they cut paper into symbols for luck, learnt how to write traditional Chinese symbols in calligraphy, and wrapped dumplings, one of the most famous Chinese foods.

A huge thank you to our Chinese teachers, who jointly organised this week’s activities. It is so important that children learn about Chinese culture as part of a well-rounded education and we place great importance on creating a unique celebratory atmosphere at King’s Bangkok.

โรงเรียนนานาชาติคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพเฉลิมฉลองวันตรุษจีนหรือวันปีใหม่ของจีนตลอดทั้งสัปดาห์นี้ โดยบรรยากาศของโรงเรียนนั้นเต็มไปด้วยความน่าตื่นเต้น เพราะเด็ก ๆ คุณครู และบุคลากรในโรงเรียนต่างแต่งกายด้วยชุดสีแดงและเครื่องประดับอันหลากหลายเพื่อต้อนรับเทศกาลนี้ และคุณครูของเราได้จัดกิจกรรมอย่างหลากหลายไม่ว่าจะเป็น เล่านิทาน ร้องเพลงและเต้นรำ แข่งวิ่งคีบตะเกียบ ประดิษฐ์งานฝีมือจากกระดาษ เขียนอักษรจีน ระบายสี รวมไปถึงห่อเกี๊ยวแบบง่าย ๆ ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในอาหารขึ้นชื่อของชาวจีนอีกด้วย

ทั้งนี้ต้องขอขอบคุณคุณครูจากแผนกภาษาจีนของเรา ที่ร่วมกันจัดกิจกรรมเนื่องในวันสำคัญนี้ นักเรียนของเราต่างได้เรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมของชาวจีนซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการสร้างการเรียนรู้อย่างรอบด้าน และยังเป็นอีกหนึ่งวันที่ให้พวกเขาได้จดจำบรรยากาศของวันตรุษจีนแบบคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพอีกด้วย
