King’s Bangkok’s Amphitheatre - a place where students can express themselves and learn new things

If you have ever been to England, you may have visited the Globe Theatre, seen a Shakespeare play, or even been to an outdoor theatre. The Amphitheatre is one of the corners of our campus that makes King’s Bangkok resemble Britain, a nation that has a long history and well-established theatre scene.
The Amphitheatre is a feature of the campus, in addition to the Great Hall, that is designed to let students have more space to learn about the art of drama. We schedule drama classes for Reception students upwards because drama is an art that teaches students multiple skills including acting, reading, analysing, collaboration, creativity, and much more. But the most important thing you can incorporate into your life when you learn drama is an understanding of what it is to be human.
By providing students with spaces where they can learn and develop their skills in open-air spaces like the Amphitheatre and air-conditioned spaces like The Great Hall, our students will have more opportunities to try new things, learn and adapt skills, and gradually, absorb the sense of empathy and humanity. We truly hope that great hearts can begin here.

Amphitheatre หรือสถานที่นั่งชมการแสดงแบบไม่มีหลังคาเป็นอีกหนึ่งมุมที่โรงเรียนนานาชาติคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพออกแบบไว้เพื่อสร้างบรรยากาศการเรียนรู้ให้มีสภาพคล้ายกับการอยู่ที่ประเทศอังกฤษ เพราะคงปฏิเสธไม่ได้ว่าประเทศอังกฤษเป็นหนึ่งในประเทศที่มีประวัติด้านการละครที่เก่าแก่ และมีรูปแบบการละครที่มีชื่อเสียง
Amphitheatre เป็นอีกหนึ่งพื้นที่ที่คิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพใช้ในการส่งเสริมการเรียนวิชาศิลปะการละคร นอกเหนือจากพื้นที่ในอาคารอย่าง The Great Hall เราจัดตารางเรียนให้กับนักเรียนทุกคนตั้งแต่ระดับชั้น Reception ขึ้นไปได้มีโอกาสได้เรียนศิลปะการละคร เพื่อสอนทักษะต่าง ๆ ให้กับพวกเขา เพราะวิชาการละครเป็นศิลปะแขนงหนึ่งที่มอบทักษะหลากหลายให้กับผู้เรียน ทั้งด้านการแสดง การอ่าน การตีความ การจัดการและความคิดสร้างสรรค์ แต่สิ่งที่สำคัญที่สุดที่เราต้องการให้นักเรียนได้รับจากวิชานี้คือ การเรียนรู้และความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับความเป็นมนุษย์ที่แฝงอยู่ในทุก ๆ ส่วนของศิลปะแขนงนี้
การส่งเสริมให้นักเรียนได้มีพื้นที่ในการเรียนวิชานี้โดยจัดสรรพื้นที่ทั้งส่วนกลางแจ้งและในร่มอย่าง Amphitheatre และ The Great Hall ถือเป็นการสร้างโอกาสให้นักเรียนได้ลองเรียนรู้สิ่งใหม่ ๆ ประยุกต์และปรับใช้ทักษะที่พวกเขามี และยังค่อย ๆ ซึมซับและเข้าใจมนุษย์มากขึ้นอีกด้วย เราจึงหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าหัวใจที่ยิ่งใหญ่ของเด็ก ๆ จะสามารถปลูกสร้างได้ด้วยความพยายามของเรา
