The close-knit collaboration in educating the whole child – King’s Bangkok and Parents

On Wednesday, King’s College International School Bangkok hosted our Parents’ Evening, where parents had the opportunity to discuss their child’s progress and development in this half term. At King’s Bangkok, we believe that a great heart takes you further. Therefore, we believe that a close partnership between parents and the school is essential to a child having a great heart and also vital to involve parents in problem-solving and mutual goal-setting, where both teachers and parents coordinate to encourage the child’s development both at school and at home.

In the Early Years, teachers focus more on how the child is participating in play-based activities and interacting with others, and as we move up the school, they begin to discuss the child’s academic progress as well as pastoral care.

We were delighted to see so many parents here and will continue to encourage collaboration between school and parents to ensure that we are building a community centred around kindness and that good manners and wisdom are embedded in the school.
