Last Friday King’s Bangkok’s representatives attended the Fellowship Day at King’s College School, Wimbledon. This year Fellowship Day is particularly special to King’s in Wimbledon and Bangkok as it marks the successful tenure of Andrew Halls, OBE as Head Master at King’s Wimbledon. Mr Halls has been pivotal to the success of King’s Wimbledon for its 10-year master plan in developing not only the campus but also happy, inquisitive and successful pupils across his longstanding services. Over these years, more than 90% of leavers attended their first-choice university, with 40 students achieving places at Oxford or Cambridge university this year. Particularly Mr Halls has been a main driving force for King’s overseas schools, including King’s Bangkok, to ensure that the King’s education is accessible for children in other parts of the world without losing its ethos and values. In fact, Mr Halls has been a key person behind the success of collaboration made between King’s Wimbledon and King’s Bangkok all these years.
On this occasion, King’s Wimbledon announced the name of its music school as the Andrew Halls Music School in honour of Mr Halls and his long and successful tenure at King’s Wimbledon from 2008 to 2021. We at King’s Bangkok are proud to share and cherish this moment with all at King’s Wimbledon.

เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ผ่านมา ผู้แทนจากโรงเรียนนานาชาติคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพ ได้เข้าร่วมงาน Fellowship Day ที่ โรงเรียนคิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดัน ซึ่ง Fellowship Day ในครั้งนี้มีความหมายเป็นพิเศษทั้งสำหรับคิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดันและคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพ เนื่องจากถือเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการร่วมเฉลิมฉลองความสำเร็จอันยาวนานของ มร. แอนดรูว์ ฮอลส์ ในฐานะครูใหญ่ที่คิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดัน ซึ่งคุณแอนดรูว์มีส่วนสำคัญอย่างยิ่งต่อความสำเร็จของคิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดันตลอดช่วงเวลาที่ผ่านมา โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งการดำเนินการตามแผนแม่บท 10 ปี ที่ไม่เพียงแต่พัฒนาโรงเรียน แต่ยังช่วยสร้างนักเรียนที่มีความสุข มีความใฝ่รู้สู่ปัญญา และประสบความสำเร็จอีกมากมายหลายคนตลอดช่วงที่ดำรงตำแหน่งครูใหญ่ โดยมากกว่า 90% ของนักเรียนสามารถสอบเข้ามหาวิทยาลัยที่เลือกเป็นอันดับแรกได้ ซึ่งในปีนี้มีนักเรียนถึง 40 คน ที่สอบเข้ามหาวิทยาลัยอ็อกซ์ฟอร์ดหรือมหาวิทยาลัยเคมบริดจ์ได้สำเร็จ นอกจากนี้ คุณแอนดรูว์ยังมีบทบาทสำคัญอย่างมากต่อโรงเรียนนานาชาติภายใต้เครือคิงส์คอลเลจ ซึ่งรวมถึงคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพ ในการดำเนินนโยบายที่ทำให้แน่ใจว่าการศึกษาของคิงส์คอลเลจนั้นจะถูกถ่ายทอดไปยังเด็ก ๆ ในประเทศต่าง ๆ โดยไม่สูญเสียความเชื่อและคุณค่าร่วมที่ยึดถือตามแบบฉบับบของคิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดัน ทั้งนี้ คุณแอนดรูว์นับว่าเป็นบุคคลสำคัญที่อยู่เบื้องหลังความสำเร็จของความร่วมมือระหว่างคิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดันและคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพตั้งแต่ตอนเริ่มต้นและตลอดช่วงหลายปีที่ผ่านมา
ในโอกาสนี้ คิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดัน ได้ประกาศการตั้งชื่ออาคารที่ใช้ในการสอนและแสดงดนตรี โดยให้ชื่อว่า “Andrew Halls Music School” เพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่คุณแอนดรูว์ที่ได้เป็นผู้นำสร้างความสำเร็จมากมายให้แก่คิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดันอย่างยาวนานนับตั้งแต่ปี 2551 ถึง 2564 ทั้งนี้ คิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพมีความภาคภูมิใจที่ได้ร่วมชื่นชมและแบ่งปันช่วงเวลาที่น่าจดจำนี้กับทุก ๆ คนที่คิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดัน
