Celebrating Songkran Festival at King’s Bangkok
ฉลองเทศกาลสงกรานต์ ณ คิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพ

King's College International School Bangkok has been celebrating the Songkran Festival or Thai New Year's Day in the week before the term break. The atmosphere is buzzing here. We had students and staff wear floral print shirts, provided a place for the King's Bangkok family to have the opportunity to bathe the Buddha image, and our Thai department organised various activities for students from Early Years to Senior School, all of which showed and preserved beautiful Thai traditions. Some of the events included: pouring water on the hands of and praying for blessings from adults, building sand castles, performances by students and teachers such as Thai dancing and singing, and House events that add to the unity within each House as well.

โรงเรียนนานาชาติคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพ ได้จัดกิจกรรมเพื่อเฉลิมฉลองเทศกาลสงกรานต์หรือวันปีใหม่ไทยตลอดทั้งสัปดาห์ก่อนปิดภาคเรียน บรรยากาศของโรงเรียนเต็มไปด้วยความคึกคัก นักเรียนและบุคลากรได้สวมใส่เสื้อลายดอกเพื่อให้เข้ากับเทศกาลนี้ พร้อมกับได้จัดสถานที่ให้ครอบครัวคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพมีโอกาสได้สรงน้ำพระอีกด้วย ทั้งนี้คุณครูแผนกภาษาไทยของเรายังได้จัดกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ มากมาย ให้กับนักเรียนตั้งแต่ระดับชั้น Early Years ไปจนถึง Senior School ซึ่งล้วนเป็นกิจกรรมที่แสดงออกและคงไว้ถึงประเพณีอันงดงามของไทย อาทิ รดน้ำขอพรจากผู้ใหญ่ ก่อปราสาททราย การแสดงจากนักเรียนและคุณครู เช่น รำไทย ร้องเพลง ไปจนถึงกิจกรรม House event ที่ช่วยเสริมสร้างความสามัคคีภายใน House อีกด้วย
คิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพ ขอสวัสดีวันปีใหม่ไทยแก่ทุกท่าน ด้วยภาพบรรยากาศการฉลองเทศกาลสงกรานต์ของโรงเรียน ขอให้ทุกท่านมีแต่ความสุข สุขภาพแข็งแรง และมีจิตใจที่มีเมตตาต่อกัน
