Let’s have fun at the Common of King’s Bangkok

King's College International School Bangkok believes that child development happens every day and everywhere. In addition to academic excellence, we give students the opportunity to try different activities both inside and outside the classroom. This is part of our co-curricular programme, which helps our students become well-rounded and talented individuals.
In addition to our indoor facilities for sports, music, drama, art and everything else, King's Bangkok International school also has the Common, a turf named after the lawn at King’s Wimbledon that is resistant to weather as well as durable to promote year-round learning and encourage children to pursue their interests.
The turf is of FIFA QUALITY standard, measuring 60 by 137 meters, and is located in the centre of our campus. Most of the area is a standard-sized football field that can be used in all international football competitions, but we have designed it so that multiple activities can occur simultaneously if needed. The properties of the turf are not only beneficial for football, but also for different field activities such as running, throwing, long jump and/or rugby, activities that our staff and parents gather and play every Monday, etc.
We have carefully chosen the grass blade, which is especially soft and recovers well, that support the impact when sliding or falling. The thickness of the grass together with the ground system also reduce the risk of injury and helps make running safer for students.

On top of this, with an efficient drainage system that can drain up to 10 times better than normal, the turf can be used despite rainy days. By being able to enjoy football and other field sports all season long, King’s Bangkok’s students are able to learn continuously, create their own experiences and make the most of every day in their own way. 

Next week we will be welcoming all students back to school. Our football fields will be filled with children enjoying and playing on the football field with teachers and friends.

นอกเหนือจากพื้นที่ใช้สอยในร่มภายในโรงเรียนสำหรับทำกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ เช่น กีฬา ดนตรี การแสดง ศิลปะ และอื่น ๆ แล้ว คิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพตั้งใจสร้าง The Common สนามหญ้าสำหรับเล่นกีฬาขนาดใหญ่ ที่ตั้งตามชื่อสนามที่คิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดัน โดยออกแบบด้วยหญ้าเทียมมาตรฐานฟีฟ่า ทนต่อสภาพอากาศ และสามารถใช้งานได้อย่างยั่งยืน หนึ่งในพื้นที่ใช้สอยที่ส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ได้ทุกวัน เพื่อช่วยกระตุ้นให้เด็ก ๆ ตามหาสิ่งที่ตัวเองสนใจผ่านการทำกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ได้อย่างเต็มที่

สนามหญ้าเทียมมาตรฐาน FIFA QUALITY ขนาด 60X137 เมตร ที่ตั้งอยู่ใจกลางของโรงเรียน โดยพื้นที่ส่วนใหญ่นั้นเป็นสนามฟุตบอลขนาดมาตรฐานที่ฟีฟ่าให้การยอมรับว่าสามารถใช้ในการแข่งขันนานาชาติได้ และการออกแบบยังทำให้นักเรียนสามารถทำกิจกรรมบนสนามที่หลากหลายพร้อมกันได้ตามต้องการ ด้วยคุณสมบัติของสนามหญ้าเทียมที่ไม่เพียงเอื้อประโยชน์กับกีฬาฟุตบอล แต่ยังรวมถึงกิจกรรมอื่น ๆ บนสนาม เช่น เป็นพื้นที่ให้เด็ก ๆ ได้วิ่งเล่น ฝึกขว้างรับลูกบอล กระโดดไกล หรือแม้กระทั่งให้ผู้ปกครองและคุณครูรวมตัวกันเล่นรักบี้ทุกวันจันทร์ เป็นต้น

นอกจากนี้เราได้เลือกใช้ใบหญ้าที่นุ่มเป็นพิเศษและคืนตัวได้ดี รองรับการสไลด์และการล้มในการแข่งขัน และนอกจากนี้ ใบหญ้าที่หนาเป็นพิเศษ ผนวกกับระบบใต้พื้นของสนามที่ถูกออกแบบด้วยมาตรฐานสูงสุดจะช่วยลดความเสี่ยงต่อการบาดเจ็บระหว่างการเล่น 

อีกทั้ง สนามหญ้าเทียมของเราเป็นรุ่นที่ระบายน้ำไวได้ดีกว่าสนามหญ้าเทียมทั่วไปถึง 10 เท่า ช่วยทำให้ทุกวันพร้อมใช้งานได้โดยไม่เป็นอุปสรรค ทุกคนสามารถเพลิดเพลินกับกีฬาในสนามได้ตลอดทั้งปี ให้นักเรียนของเราเรียนรู้ได้อย่างต่อเนื่อง ได้เต็มที่กับการสร้างประสบการณ์ต่าง ๆ และทำทุกวันให้มีความหมายในแบบฉบับของพวกเขาเอง

ในสัปดาห์หน้าเราจะได้ต้อนรับนักเรียนทุกคนกลับสู่โรงเรียน สนามฟุตบอลของเราจะถูกเติมเต็มด้วย เด็ก ๆ ที่กำลังวิ่งเล่นกับคุณครูและเพื่อน ๆ อย่างสนุกสนานเพลิดเพลินบนสนามของเรา
