Bottling Joy in the Early Years
What if joy wasn't just a bonus, but the whole point?
‘Bottling Joy’ started with a simple question on a long flight home: Why don't we bottle that? That feeling when children run through the school gate, when a nervous little one finally comes out of their shell, when a whole room just buzzes with laughter and play.
Because of that joy? It's not an add-on. It's the foundation of everything a young child needs to thrive, and this book is here to remind us of that.
Authored by Raj Ladva and Alys Leighton-Rahman, with a foreword by Michael Rosen and edited by Dr Aaron Bradbury, it highlights the importance of play, relationships and community in early childhood. Most importantly, the proceeds from this book will support the children and young people of the SPRING Project.

We are proud to present 'Bottling Joy in the Early Years', a book that celebrates joy, play, relationships, and the power of early childhood practice.
This project brings together voices from across King's College International School Bangkok for the Early Years sector to explore what it means to nurture children through love, care, and meaningful early years pedagogy. All proceeds will go to supporting the Spring Project charity.
