Curriculum for excellence

With a truly international cohort we place literacy and language development at the centre of our curriculum in the Junior school, as this allows access to and success in every other subject. Around this, we develop the highest levels in all other areas of the curriculum to stretch and challenge our students so that they are ready for the Senior school. We teach, through an enquiry based approach where possible, to develop skills that students need for later in life.

Developing lifelong learners

We believe that this is an age-group where the flame of learning still burns brightly and we wish to build on this enthusiasm, as there is a risk it can diminish at this age. Students are fascinated by the world around them, but they need challenges and guidance by outstanding teachers to continue to excel and develop.

Connected learning

Connected learning is intended to develop students’ interests and take their learning and skills to a higher level in a topic/subject they are interested in through enquiry-based learning. Students research and carry out projects on a subject/topic of their choice either independently, in pairs or in small groups.

The King’s Bangkok Co-curricular Programme

To contribute to the students’ enjoyment of school we have a broad and varied range of co-curricular programme for them to be excited about each day. These run at lunchtimes (clubs and societies), are compulsory and built into the school day (CCAs) and are optional activities for after school (ECAs).
