King's College International School Bangkok has been celebrating the Songkran Festival or Thai New Year's Day in the week before the term break. The atmosphere is buzzing here. We had students and staff wear floral print shirts, provided a place for the King's Bangkok family to have the opportunity to bathe the Buddha image, and our Thai department organised various activities for students from Early Years to Senior School, all of which showed and preserved beautiful Thai traditions. Some of the events included: pouring water on the hands of and praying for blessings from adults, building sand castles, performances by students and teachers such as Thai dancing and singing, and House events that add to the unity within each House as well.

King's Bangkok would like to wish you all a Happy Thai New Year and share some pictures of our Songkran festival celebrations. Wishing you all happiness and good health in the New Year. Keep spreading kindness!

Happy Thai New Year!
