Following your initial online application and document submission, prospective students are invited to an age-appropriate assessment. For Early Years, this is an informal play-based observation designed to gauge developmental readiness and social communication. For Primary and Senior School entry, candidates complete age-standardised assessments in English and Mathematics, alongside a meeting with King’s leadership to explore their passions, character, and potential to thrive within our curriculum.

We determine year group placement based on the child's age as of 31st August for entry in Term 1(August). For example, children joining Pre-nursery must be 2 years old by 31st August, while Year 7 students are typically 11 turning 12. Our Admissions team is happy to advise on the correct entry point for families relocating from systems with different academic calendars (such as the Southern Hemisphere, Japan, or South Korea).

Yes. We regularly support international families relocating to Bangkok. Initial admissions discussions and senior leadership consultations can be conducted virtually via Google Meet. For older students, academic assessments can often be invigilated remotely at the applicant's current school, followed by an on-campus visit when you arrive in Thailand.

While we accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the year, popular year groups fill quickly. We advise applying early in the academic year prior to entry. Following the completion of the assessment and interview, our Admissions team typically communicates an outcome within 5 to 7 working days.

Because our academic programme is delivered in English, students must demonstrate an age-appropriate capacity to access the curriculum. In the Early Years and lower Primary, we admit students with developing English, supported by full-time bilingual Assistant Teachers and tailored EAL programmes. In the Senior School, candidates must demonstrate stronger written and spoken English proficiency to access IGCSE and A Level study effectively.
