King's Bangkok Brain Day: Where great science begins

Last week, our Sixth Form Biology and Psychology students spent the day with visiting professor Dr Guy Sutton, Director of Medical Biology Interactive (MBI) and Honorary Consultant Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham Medical School. They explored how the brain works, changes and adapts, from neuroplasticity to brain organoids, before a hands-on sheep brain dissection that sparked plenty of questions.

For one student, it shifted their whole perspective: "It's changed my entire opinion on the biological side of psychology, as it's a lot more important than what I thought in Year 11."
Some left with answers. Most left with even better ones, and that's exactly where great science begins.

Thank you, Dr Sutton, for a day that made our students think differently.
