The King’s Bangkok Academic Excellence Scholarship is a unique opportunity to access a world-class, academically rigorous education based on the British curriculum. It is designed to widen access to King's College International School Bangkok education for highly able students who would otherwise face significant financial barriers.

Successful candidates will be prepared for excellence in public examinations and a wide range of co-curricular opportunities, enabling them to access leading universities worldwide.  

The scholarship is aimed at academically outstanding students entering Year 10 or Year 12 in the 2026/2027 academic year, commencing in August 2026.

Successful scholars will receive full fee remission, along with uniform, learning equipment and devices, and other relevant support until graduating in Year 13.

Upon securing a place at a recognised university, scholars will be entitled to an additional one million baht to support their further studies. 

Last academic year marked a proud milestone for King’s Bangkok as we celebrated the inaugural graduating class of 2025. The cohort also included our first recipients of the King’s Bangkok Academic Excellence Scholarship.

We are delighted to see our scholars continue to progress in their learning journey. They have flourished both within King's Bangkok and now beyond it, and we are proud of the paths they are taking.

With this in mind, we remain committed to the King’s Bangkok Academic Excellence Scholarship's intent: our goal is not for students to give back to the school, but to pay it forward by contributing to society in the future.

 

Who’s eligible?

Students who:

• demonstrate a high level of proficiency in English

• have maintained a consistently outstanding academic record

• are studying at school in Thailand

We warmly welcome applications from students studying at other schools in Thailand.

* This scholarship will be reviewed annually, and renewal will be subject to the scholar continuing to meet the high standards expected. 

 

Benefits

The 100% scholarship covers:

• Application fee, registration fee, security deposit, and tuition fees at King’s College International School Bangkok 

• Uniform, learning equipment, and devices

• Public examination fees for IGCSEs and A levels

• Compulsory school trips

• Accidents insurance cover

• School lunch during term time

• An additional scholarship of up to one million baht to support higher education

As part of the review process, some shortlisted candidates may be required to complete online interview questions. You will be notified by email if this applies to you at any time after you submit your application and before Monday, 25 May.

Shortlisted announcement

Shortlisted candidates will be informed and provided with further instructions no later than Monday, 25 May.

Please note that some early applicants may receive their results before this date, as applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We therefore encourage you to apply as soon as you are ready. 

 

     Saturday, 6 June     

Selection Day 

Shortlisted candidates will be assessed through tests in Mathematics, English, and cognitive ability. 

 

     Wednesday, 10 June     

Final round decisions communicated

 

     Wednesday, 17 and Thursday, 18 June     

Final interviews

Students and parents will be interviewed separately by the scholarship committee at the school. 

 

     Monday, 22 June     

Scholarship awards announced

Successful candidates will be notified by email.
