UK Universities Information Evening with Mr Andrew Halls, OBE

Last week, King's Bangkok organised a UK Universities event. Our speaker, Mr Andrew Halls, OBE, Honorary Principal at King’s Bangkok and former Headmaster at King’s Wimbledon (2008-2021), shared his invaluable experience and advice with our students. The students were highly engaged and motivated by Mr Halls' words of wisdom such as “Your education should not stop at the school gates, keep learning and exploring new things” and “Choose a university that is right for you, not just because it is the most prestigious”.

We were also thrilled to have two Old King's Wimbledon students (OKs) share their experiences applying to university. One of them talked about his journey to King's College London and the other to the University of Cambridge. Our students were inspired by the challenges they faced and the success they achieved.

We would like to thank Mr Halls and both OKs for their time and for sharing their experiences with our students. We believe that these events are essential in preparing our senior students for university life. We will continue to organise more activities and events going forward to help our students reach their full potential, grow together, go further and succeed in their future endeavours.

เมื่อสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา โรงเรียนนานาชาติคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพจัดงาน UK Universities event โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก มร.แอนดรูว์ ฮอลส์ Honorary Principal ของคิงส์คอลเลจกรุงเทพ เคยดำรงตำแหน่งครูใหญ่ของคิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดัน ปี 2551-2564 มาร่วมแบ่งปันประสบการณ์อันล้ำค่าและให้คำแนะนำกับนักเรียนของเรา โดยเด็ก ๆ ต่างตั้งใจและมีส่วนร่วมอย่างมาก ทั้งยังได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากคำพูดของ มร.แอนดรูว์ อย่างเช่น “การศึกษาของคุณไม่ควรหยุดอยู่แค่หน้าประตูโรงเรียน จงเรียนรู้และสำรวจสิ่งใหม่ ๆ อยู่เสมอ” และ “เลือกมหาวิทยาลัยที่ใช่สำหรับคุณ ไม่ใช่เพียงเพราะเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยอันทรงเกียรติ”

นอกจากนี้ ศิษย์เก่า 2 คน จากคิงส์คอลเลจวิมเบิลดัน (Old Kings) ได้มาแบ่งปันประสบการณ์ช่วงสมัครเข้ามหาวิทยาลัย โดยหนึ่งในนั้นเตรียมไปศึกษาต่อที่ King's College London/คิงส์คอลเลจลอนดอน และอีกคนเตรียมไปศึกษาต่อที่ University of Cambridge/มหาวิทยาลัยเคมบริดจ์ นักเรียนของเราต่างได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากเรื่องราวความท้าทายที่พวกเขาเผชิญและความสำเร็จที่ได้รับจากความพากเพียร
