United Against Bullying

This week at King’s College International School Bangkok was anti-bullying week, a worldwide movement to create an inclusive educational environment for all children. On Monday, we had Odd Socks Day, which is an event that encourages all students to reflect on their own unique identities, forge new friendships and celebrate the diversity of our community. Then today, we wanted our students to put these important ideas into practice.

Every single student at King’s Bangkok from Reception to Year 6 painted and drew patterns on a squared piece of paper to make a collaborative art piece, our King’s Bangkok Elmer. Afterwards, our team of dedicated assistant teachers set up an activity where students were buddied up with students from other year groups and would then go around the Pop-up Festival’s different booths, which had fun activities that encouraged teamwork and collaboration. We are very grateful to all the teachers and assistant teachers who were involved, because school initiatives like these allow us to highlight to students that being different is something we cherish in our community.
