Meet the Heads - The Beginning of a Great Heart

Meet the Heads - The Beginning of a Great Heart

King’s Bangkok is ready to welcome students for Pre-nursery to Year 10 in 2021.

This weekend at King’s College International School Bangkok, Headmaster Thomas Banyard and Head of Pre-prep Helen Searle welcomed over 1,000 prospective parents and children to three sessions of ‘Meet the Heads - The Beginning of a Great Heart’. Mr Banyard shared his vision on how to not only build a school, but also a community of kindness. This vision is underpinned by the 3 key pillars to happy and successful children: academic excellence, a bespoke co-curricular programme and a thorough approach to pastoral care.

Parents and children learned more about the ethos of King’s Bangkok through the perspective of key figures from Wimbledon. Mr Andrew Halls OBE, Head Master of King’s Wimbledon, emphasised the close collaboration at all levels to ensure that King’s Bangkok is of an equal standard to King’s Wimbledon, and expressed his commitment to help King’s Bangkok become one of the best schools in Asia.

It was also a unique opportunity for the interested families to hear from the future Head of Senior School, Matthew Gibson, who will be joining us from King’s Wimbledon in January 2021. Mr Gibson shared his vision of giving support and guidance to students to prepare them for the universities of their dreams. He also shared a clear picture of how a strong pastoral care system and co-curricular programme will enhance the academic excellence of senior school students.

King’s Bangkok also announced the ‘Opening Year Privilege’. This privilege has been created to celebrate the opening of King’s Bangkok and welcome new families to join us in the academic year 2021-2022.

We would like to thank all the families and Heads who joined us this weekend for all three sessions in The Great Hall. We look forward to welcoming you to the family where a great heart takes you further.
