The importance of teacher induction to the King's Bangkok ethos

Since early August, King's College International School Bangkok (King's Bangkok) has been running its teacher induction programme. There is a combination of live sessions for staff already on campus and online seminars for those who are travelling.

At King's Bangkok, we uphold three core values: good manners, kindness and wisdom. All teaching staff are expected to provide exceptional pastoral care that will help our students develop their whole character, and not merely academic skills. Therefore, it is critical to ensure that our teaching staff, including Assistant Teachers, share the same values and perspectives towards education.

On the 15th of August, our largest group of our teachers arrived safely in Bangkok from the UK. After finishing their alternative state quarantine at the end of this month, they will continue their induction onsite to further reinforce the King's Bangkok ethos. Another attribute that we value as a school is the power of teamwork. Therefore, our teaching staff will all participate in a team building camp before we begin the academic year on the 10th of September.

We look forward to welcoming all teachers on campus in the next few weeks. After that, we can proudly begin to say 'Welcome to the family'.
